submission:
major arcana

It’s time to draw a card.

We’re opening submissions for our next anthology, and this one’s a little… mystical.
Welcome to Major Arcana.

What we’re looking for

The tarot is a map of the human experience — full of transformation, chance, love, death, and all the strange, luminous bits in between. We want stories inspired by the Major Arcana cards: tales that reimagine The Fool’s journey in your own voice and world.

You don’t need to write about tarot directly (please, no literal fortune-tellers arguing with sentient decks), but your story should draw deeply from the archetypes, moods, or themes of one or more Major Arcana cards — from The Tower to The Lovers, Death to The Star.

Any genre is welcome — fantasy, speculative, literary, horror, slipstream — as long as the soul of tarot hums through it. Think of this as storytelling through intuition rather than logic: stories that feel fated, haunted, or alive with transformation.

We’re especially drawn to strong characters, emotional honesty, and distinct voices.

Surprise us. Bewitch us. Pull a card we didn’t expect.
