Submission guidelines

What are we looking for?

At Mirari Press we are looking for full-length works of speculative fiction that enchant, delight and inspire. This includes, but is not limited to, works of:

  • Fantasy (sword & sorcery, high fantasy, you name it)

  • Grounded spec-fic

  • Science fiction

  • Alternate history

  • Magical realism

  • Dystopian fiction

  • Occult fiction

  • Cyberpunk and Steampunk

  • YA spec-fic

If you've written something that falls outside of these genres or lengths, have a look at our submissions or imprint pages - there might be another home for you with Mirari.

How to submit:

We only accept submissions made through our online submissions form, which you can access by clicking the button below. Physical submissions and email submissions will not be considered.

What to expect once you’ve submitted:

Your manuscript meets our submission guidelines, you’ve followed the steps above, and you have successfully submitted to us. What happens now?

Manuscript review

We evaluate each manuscript we receive. We will read your plot summary and first three chapters, and if your writing is a fit for Mirari Press, we will reach out to request the rest of the manuscript for review. It can take up to six months for us to review a complete manuscript.

Offer to publish

Should we wish to publish your manuscript, we will reach out to you with an offer to publish. At this stage, we’ll talk through all of the nitty-gritty details.

Regrettably we cannot respond to each submission. If you have not heard from us in three months from date of submission, please accept that your submission has been unsuccessful.
