Announcing MENAGERIE's selected authors

The Menagerie awaits.

We received hundreds of submissions for our most recent short story anthology, MENAGERIE: New Stories from the Bestiary. The theme of the anthology was 'mythical and magical beasts and creatures'.

Choosing stories for an anthology is not easy. The trick is to find stories that form a cohesive point of view - rather tricky when you're looking through works by different authors writing on a vague brief like ours!

Nevertheless, y'all delivered. And how. The stories were so good, and the choices so difficult, that we ended up selecting ten (the plan was eight). That means MENAGERIE will be our thickest, most stacked anthology yet!

So let's cut the bullshit and get to the juice. Here is the full list of chosen stories for MENAGERIE. We're so happy to welcome back three* existing Mirari authors, and initiate seven more into our ranks. These stories are haunting, moving, creepy, funny, inspiring and good old-entertaining. From tigers to dragons, cephalopods to water spirits, great apes to sentient seedlings, we know you're going to love these ten bangers.
